This piece creates a family of nodes. The family starts with one single node (a dot). That one node has children (more dots) creating the second generation of nodes. Those children can have more children (generation 3).

You specify the number of children had during each generation and how many generations there will be by typing them in the upper right of the screen. You can not use values greater than 7 for children and 4 for generations. Create the family by pressing the enter button.

You can then manipulate the family by dragging the scale, fall off, and rotation buttons up or down.

scale: controls the overall spread of the family

fall off: controls the increase or decrease of space between child from generation to generation

rotation: controls the rotation of the entire family

caps lock: toggles the active spacing of nodes

space bar: draws a line from a parent to all of its children
